Robbie takes a bow-wow with Take That

PLENTY of people would love to know how ROBBIE WILLIAMS and TAKE THAT's recording sessions are going.

But it is Rob's pet pooch Poopette who is getting privileged access to them.

Robbie clutched his furry friend as he returned to a Los Angeles studio for a seven-hour recording session on Thursday.

The lads have worked together for 16 hours in the past week. That's enough for an EP at the very least.

A source said: "Everyone is getting on great. It's really exciting. GARY, MARK, HOWARD and JASON came to LA with plans to start writing with Robbie again but were a little nervous about how it would work out. But it's going very well. The fact they have spent so much time together in the studio is great news. The signs are good."

The five pals first went to the studio for a five-hour writing session on Tuesday.

The following day they spent four hours at Robbie's mansion thrashing out their comeback plans before hitting the studio again on Thursday. In September Robbie joined his four former bandmates for Mark's stag do in New York.

The trip helped to iron out some remaining problems between the lads.

And now they're finally ready to crack on with a reunion.

Take That - Robbie Williams has Take-away

All the members of Take That gathered at Robbie Williams' house in Los Angeles to have dinner after a successful recording session.

Take That had dinner at Robbie Williams' house further fuelling rumours they are getting back together for good.

The band - Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Jason Orange - indulged in a takeaway at Robbie's Los Angeles home after spending the day recording songs together.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "It's just like old times. The session on Tuesday (26.01.10) went great and they are planning on getting back in the studio soon."

Robbie, 35, spent five hours with his former bandmates in the studio this week.

An insider said: "All the signs are looking good. It's great news for the fans. They're using this time in Los Angeles to start working together as a band again.

"They were delighted with the session and were congratulating each other as they left. They're using this time together to crack on with reunion songs."

A spokesperson for the group confirmed they had been socialising with Robbie.

They said: "Take That didn't go to Los Angeles with plans to official write or record with Robbie, but they've been hanging out together, which is great."

Love is still there for Robbie

TAKE THAT and ROBBIE WILLIAMS continued their reunion plans over a takeaway at the singer's LA mansion on Wednesday.

GARY, HOWARD and JASON went to Rob's pad for a four-hour meet. My pic shows them climbing out of a car on his drive.

Reunion ... band arrive at Robbie's pad

We revealed yesterday how the lads spent more than five hours in an LA studio on Tuesday working on comeback songs - 15 years after Robbie quit the group.

And a source revealed: "It's just like old times. Tuesday's session went great and they are planning on getting back in the studio soon."

Take That are working on their third comeback album while in LA - with fans hoping Rob will feature on the record.

But too much time in studios isn't good for the mind.

So Gaz and Howard took a break from sessions the following afternoon for a spot of retail therapy.

Howard Donald hopes Sun’s Haiti single will make country stronger

TAKE That star Howard Donald yesterday said he hopes The Sun's Helping Haiti single will make the ravaged country stronger than it was before the quake struck.

Howard, 41, said Haiti's suffering was particularly devastating because of its grinding poverty. He added: "Hopefully afterthis charity effort the country will be built up better than it was before."

Howard and Take That pals Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Jason Orange, whose hits include Shine, recorded their contribution to the single on Tuesday.

Former member Robbie Williams added his vocal in LA yesterday - making it the first time the band have appeared together on a track since 1995.

Mariah Carey, Rod Stewart, Leona Lewis, Miley Cyrus, JLS, Alexandra Burke, Cheryl Cole and Joe McElderry are also singing on the cover of REM's Everybody Hurts.

So are Susan Boyle, Mika, Michael Bublé, James Morrison, James Blunt, Jon Bon Jovi and Kylie Minogue. Rod said: "We're all doing our best."

Robbie and Take That seen working together in LA

TAKE THAT have secretly met ROBBIE WILLIAMS to work on songs for a full-scale reunion.

And as they made plans to recapture their old chart-topping magic, a source said: "All the signs are looking good. It's great news for the fans."

Robbie, 35, spent more than five hours in a Los Angeles studio on Tuesday working on songs with his ex-bandmates. It came 15 years after he quit the hit group in bitter circumstances.

He was seen hugging old pals GARY BARLOW, 39, MARK OWEN, 38, JASON ORANGE, 39, and HOWARD DONALD, 41, as they left the US session.

The source said: "They're using this time in LA to start working together as a band again.

"They were delighted with Tuesday's session and were congratulating each other as they left."

Last September Robbie joined his former bandmates - with whom he made 1992 hit Could It Be Magic - for Mark's New York stag do.

But despite being seen in a studio then, they did not concentrate on writing songs.

The source added: "In New York they threw some ideas around but didn't really push ahead with new material.

"It was Mark's stag do, so there were lots of sore heads. But they're using this LA time together to crack on with reunion songs."

Gary and Robbie linked up at last year's BBC Children in Need Rocks concert. A band spokesman said last night: "Take That didn't go to LA with plans to officially write or record with Robbie, but they've been hanging out together, which is great."

She and Take That will be joined by former X Factor winner Alexandra Burke, who will fly in to London from Germany on Monday to record her contribution.

She said: "I hope the single raises lots of money. It's great that we can come together and do this. It's a very special song."

The song, which we hope will raise millions for our Helping Haiti appeal and the Disasters Emergency Committee, was suggested by X Factor tycoon Simon Cowell last week.

ROBBIE Williams and Take That will get together to produce the charity song to help survivors of the Haiti earthquake.

Robbie Williams, 35, is tipped to join his old bandmates to sing on Everybody Hurts, organised by X Factor judge Simon Cowell.

Music industry insiders said the collaboration could turn the hit into the biggest-selling single of all time.

It will be the first time the group have recorded a single together since Robbie left the band in 1995.

Gary Barlow, 39, Mark Owen, 37, Jason Orange, 39, and Howard Donald, 41, are said to be lined up to do the cover of the REM classic.

A spokesman for Robbie said: “He’s been approached.”

A music insider said last night: “A Take That reunion would give this CD massive selling power and help it make loads of money for Haiti. There’s no animosity between the boys at all and, although they went their separate ways in the mid 90s, they never ruled out getting back in the recording studio at some point."

“This would be a great opportunity for them to help out and it would be a real coup for Simon Cowell.”

Cowell, 50, has vowed to get the single out as soon as possible.

Other top acts confirmed to sing include Rod Stewart, 65, Cheryl Cole, 26, boyband JLS and X Factor winners Leona Lewis, 24, and Alexandra Burke, 21. Canadian singer Michael Bublé, 34, James Morrison, 25, and You’re Beautiful singer James Blunt, 36, say they are also taking part.

BIZARRE Lord and Lady were an easy choice - GARY BARLOW and SUSAN BOYLE.

    Chatty dad Gary Barlow

Gary Barlow was thrilled when he could finally speak to his children.

The Take That frontman - who has three children, Daniel, nine, Emily, seven, and 12-month-old Daisy with wife Dawn - admits he isn't very good with babies and is happier when his kids can speak to him.

He said: "I really only started bonding with the kids when they're around two. Or do I mean 22, ha ha! Don't get me wrong, the whole baby thing is all cute and stuff, but I really like them when they start talking and knowing who you are. I find it frustrating, that first bit, as they only really want their mums because they feed them. Babies are just like little chimps and they won't let their mum go. I don't find it as rewarding at that stage. But Dan and Emily are like my best friends now. I really love my time with them."

Gary also admits he will be an over-protective father when it comes to his daughters dating boys.

He added to Britain's OK! magazine: "I will be very judgemental when boys come a calling for Emily. Actually, saying that, I think she has a boyfriend now and she's only seven. They start young these days, you know. It's terrifying."

    Barlow reveals weight gain pain

Gary Barlow piled on the pounds following Take That’s first split in 1996 and admits it became so bad he was having trouble doing everyday tasks.

The father-of-three – who recently celebrated his 10th wedding anniversary with wife Dawn – said: “For a couple of years in the late 90s I suffered with depression and I ballooned to 16st 9lb (233lbs) by the year 2000. I was practically immobile and found it hard to move around. I remember waking up one morning and trying to sit up in bed and it was so hard. Getting out of bed was such an effort.

“Then when I walked around the bed, Dawn just watched me and noticed that I was becoming a little immobile. And she said, ‘Do you want to go to the doctor? It might be worthwhile finding out why you are getting so heavy.’ Of course, she knew why, I was b***dy eating!”

The ‘Greatest Day’ singer says he felt he had “failed” himself because he had let his weight get out of control.

He added to Britain’s OK! magazine: “I look back at pictures of me when I was heavier and it’s like being in your own prison. And it’s true, and the bigger you are the smaller you feel. You become embarrassed about it. You’re meant to look after yourself and I failed because I looked like that.”

just found it in the sun too, but it's pretty much the same except they added this little bit to the end; "It's amazing when you look at Gary now to remember he was so big. But this astonishing turnaround is just another reason why he's such a Bizarre Lord."
