GB’s 40!! Gary Barlow 40th Birthday Show For Charity

Gary Barlow will celebrate his 40th Birthday on January 20th 2011 with a special show at Shepherd's Bush Empire for family, friends and fans. The event, titled GB40, will see Gary perform songs that span a fantastic 20 year career in a small and intimate setting with profits from the show going to charity. The concert will provide an exceptional opportunity for a small number of fans to enter a ticket lottery which, if lucky, will allow them to join Gary in commemorating his special day doing what he loves doing best.

Take That have sold over 30 million albums and 7 million tour tickets over the course of their career, with their recent reunion being one of the most talked about events of the last few years. Gary Barlow's contribution to the band, as well as to British Music as a whole has been unquestionable and his reputation as a singer, songwriter, pianist and performer is undeniable.

This time Gary takes to the stage on his own for the first time in over eleven years and will perform songs from his successful career as one of the UK's most distinguished singer/songwriters. He will be backed by a band made up of close friends and acquaintances he's met along the way helping make it a night to remember, with profits from the night going to charity.

There are two ways fans can get to see this unique one-off show:

Lottery:
Fans will be given a chance to buy tickets through a lottery. Registration for the lottery starts at 9am on Tuesday 14th December 2010 and winners will be selected overnight on Wednesday and then be informed from 9am Thursday 16th. The successful applicants will have until noon Friday 17/12 to buy their tickets (£45 each - limited to a pair per person) after which they will be released.

Auction:
Auction sales open at noon on Thursday 16th December and will shut at noon on Monday 20/12. There are tickets on three levels of the venue and the best tickets will be allocated to the highest bidders.

Novo comentário de Gary no seu site

O Gary deixou a seguinte mensagem no seu site:

"Rob and I wrote Shame on the 25th August 2009 at a house i'd rentend for the summer in Los Angeles. It was one of those spare of the moment chances, he was at my house, I had a song on the go and he wanted do write!! Amazing!
We put vocals on in a few days later. John Shank helped me knock a demo together for us to sing on. When I went home in Sept I wondered if anything would ever happen to that song, little did i know it would be lauching Robbie's Greatest Hits this year!
When they decided to use the song, Trevor Horn was chosen to produce it. Rob an I went along one evening and cut the vocals standing opposite each other. It was great fun and really worked for the record. Trevor was a joy to work with, he'd produced 2 songs for me in the 90's but I was looking forward to be working with ihm again.
2 days after we wrote Shame, Rob and I were back at it. This time we wrote the up tempo Heart and I.
This was an instrumental piece of music I had, but when I played it to Rob he sang this scaring melody over it.Within an hour he had written the most beautiful lyric. I got Rob to sing a guide on the track with a crappy mic into my laptop. When i got home a week later I worked it up and send it back to Rob. He loved it and decided to use Shame and Heart and I on his greatest Hits.
The track was then produced by legendary producer Trevor Horn"

Stephen Mulhern says Gary Barlow could replace Simon Cowell on BGT

TAKE That star Gary Barlow is the man to save Britain's Got Talent if Simon Cowell quits, reckons Stephen Mulhern.

The Britain's Got More Talent host, 33, thinks Relight My Fire singer Gary would be a great replacement for boss Simon on the panel.

Stephen told TV Biz: "Gary would be brilliant. He was a mentor on The X Factor and you could tell he cares and I think that's really important.

"He would be constructive. He's been there, he's done it, so he would bring a different side to things."

Stephen also says celebrity publicist Max Clifford, 67, should replace judge Piers Morgan, who looks set to take over from legendary US interviewer Larry King, 76, at CNN.

He said: "Max has similar experience to Piers. He knows the pitfalls."

Simon, 50, has already vowed to miss the audition stage of next year's series as he focuses on launching the US version of The X Factor.

Stephen said: "If Simon leaves they need to pick the replacement very carefully. If Piers goes as well it's a real shame. They have got it so right and the balance is good."

Stephen says he has a good

Gary Barlow - Padrinho de casamento de Robbie Williams

Gary Barlow To Be Robbie Williams' Best Man

Robbie Williams is reportedly going to ask Take That singer Gary Barlow and best friend Jonathan Wilkes to be joint best men at his wedding to actress Ayda Field.

Robbie Williams is reportedly going to ask Gary Barlow to be best man at his wedding.

The 'Bodies' singer has decided to get the Take That frontman to take on the duty instead of his close pal Mark Owen when he marries fiancee Ayda Field.

A member of Robbie's family is quoted by the Daily Star newspaper as saying: "Rob is very fond of Gary and considers him a solid rock in his life.

"Mark was always one of his fun time pals, but Rob really wants to thank Gary and show his respect for their special bond."

Robbie's long-time best friend Jonathan Wilkes will also act as a best man at the 36-year-old pop star's wedding.

The former Take That bandmates had a high-profile feud following Robbie's departure from the group in 1995.

However, in recent years the pair have patched up their differences and it is believed at some point Robbie will rejoin Take That.

He recently said: "It will happen - but not in the next two years. There are contracts to fulfil, then I can do what I want."

GARY BARLOW’S PROTéGéE CAMILLA KERSLAKE PLANS TO JOIN ROBBIE WILLIAMS ON TAKE THAT’S NEXT

GARY Barlow’s classical protégée Camilla Kerslake plans to join Robbie Williams on Take That’s next album. The London beauty, 21, is so eager to make sweet music with my favourite manband – who will also be joined by the Robster, 36 – that she’s offered her services as a acking singer.

She told me: “I’m trying to get on the new Take That album. What I think would be really cool is if I did backing singing for them.

“It would be incredible, but because Gary is very professional I haven’t mentioned it to him.”

But when Camilla met Rob in the studios she came close to causing him Supreme pain which could have prevented him from being Back For Good in the music charts.

She explained: “I’ve met Robbie quite a few times and have managed to touch him.

“The first time I met him I was brushing my hair because there were lots of paparazzi outside.

“He went to shake my hand but I was still holding my comb.

“He may have hurt his hand because he went and shook it anyway. He didn’t let on if it was painful.”

Camilla is now gearing up to perform with posh boyband Blake at the Classical BRITs at London’s Royal Albert Hall on May 13.

But even though she’s quaking in her heels about being nominated for Album of the Year you won’t find her necking back champers to ease the nerves.

Camilla said: “I wasn’t nervous until I saw that 23million people watch the Classical BRITs.

“Being an opera singer means zero alcohol and early nights because booze ruins your voice.

I wish I was a pop star because I wouldn’t have to worry about any of that.”

London rapper Aggro Santos is the second artist to join Barlow's label after he signed classical singer Camilla Kerslake last year.

Santos confirmed the news to the Daily Star, suggesting: "I should write his vocal and he should write my rap and see what comes up."

Asked whether he would feature on the new Take That album, he replied: "I'd love to get on it. Gary's a fan of mine and I'm equally respectful of his writing."

Santos releases new single 'Candy', which features ex-Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt, on May 3.

Could it be magic? Tories sign up Gary Barlow to push plans for X Factor-style singing competition for schools

David Cameron has enlisted singer Gary Barlow to boost his campaign - joining forces with the singer to unveil plans for an X Factor-style competition in schools.

Under the School Stars scheme, children will compete to win the chance to record a song with the Take That star.

Singers, bands and musicians will take part in school, county and regional heats in three age groups, with the winners competing in a grand national final once a year. Mr Barlow said: 'The future of music is in every classroom in the country.'

Asked if he was backing Mr Cameron, he added: 'I wouldn't be here otherwise. I support David.'

Unveiling the plans at a school in Nantwich, Cheshire, Mr Cameron said the plans would encourage young people to 'follow their dreams'.

The scheme, which will cost £1million, will enlist industry professionals as judges.

Before Barlow took to the stage, two pupils - Zoe Conning, 15, and Kitty Dolan, 13 - entertained the special guests with their own singing and guitar playing.

Mr Cameron later joked: 'Last night, on the TV debate, I felt a bit like I was in Britain's worst boyband - so it's a pleasure to share the stage with the founding member of Britain's best ever boyband.'

He then listed some of his favourite music, which included Take That.

He said: 'When I want to be lifted, then I think Greatest Day is a wonderful song.

'If you feel down, if you feel depressed... Greatest Day, what a fantastic song to lift you, and I think Gary showed that today.'

Mr Cameron said there were economic and social reasons for the competition, but most importantly it was 'fun'.

He said School Stars would see 'kids practising together in the corridors, forming bands and getting together in their lunch breaks'.

He added: 'It's my hope that by doing the brave thing and getting up on stage more and more young people are going to be invested with self belief, the belief that they can be something, that they can play a part and make a difference.

'But more important than the economic reason or the social reason for doing this is the fun reason.

'Music is one of those things that is just a joy in itself and an end in itself. There is nothing like making something beautiful out of thin air.

'I want thousands or kids to realise that the best entertainment isn't what you download on YouTube, it's the stuff you make yourself.

'So that's why we're doing School Stars.

'I really hope this takes off and that these contests become as much a part of school life as harvest festival or the nativity play or sports day.

'It's as simple as this - more good music in our schools is good for the British economy, it's good for our society and it's good for the soul.'

Gary: Robbie reunion inevitable

Gary Barlow has said it is "inevitable" Robbie Williams will perform with Take That again.

Speaking to pupils at Brine Leas High School in Nantwich, Cheshire, the singer suggested he foresaw a reunion.

Asked whether Take That would work with Robbie, he said: "We'll see. I think it's inevitable one day we'll get back together."

Gary was launching an X Factor-style singing competition for pupils, School Stars, with Tory leader David Cameron.

Robbie left Take That in 1995 but speculation has been rife that they will work together once more.

The Bodies singer has already said in a Radio 2 interview he and the group have been in the studio together, although it is unclear whether anything from the session will see the light of day. And they shared a stage at a Children In Need concert late last year.
