That was for Dad, says Gary

Grieving ... Gary

GARY BARLOW has dedicated his triumphant Children in Need gig to his late father.

Gary - speaking for the first time about the death of dad Colin - was nearly in tears during the show.

The singer masterminded the all-star line-up at the Royal Albert Hall. Near tears, he told fans that TAKE THAT's performance of Rule The World was for Colin, 71, who passed away last month.

Gary, 38, said: "This is for everyone who has lost somebody. This one is for you dad."

He had just finished organising the London show when he lost his father. And he told The Sun it freed him up to spend a lot of time with his mum Marjorie. Gary said: "I was so pleased I'd got it all done. This was one of those nights he'd have been at. I'd have loved to have him here."

On Robbie, Gary said: "He was like the icing on the cake for me. When we were stood in a line we wanted to stay and do ten songs. It felt great having him back. It feels like he's back. It really does."
